Women Interactive has ended
Women Interactive is a creative technology festival for women with a special focus on women of color who produce and share media content taking place in the Cosby Building at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia on October 13, 2012. In keeping with the fast paced nature of technology, the WI Festival will allow college students, collegiate faculty, technology and media professionals and enthusiasts the opportunity to interact with innovative technology by following the three pillars on which the festival is based: Interaction, Education and Inspiration. The three pillars are exemplified through three festival tracks: Creating Content, Sharing Content and Monetizing Creativity.

Media Production Manager in the Atlanta Public Schools (APS)

Mr. Scott Clark King is an experienced professional with over sixteen years of employment in the digital media field.  He has skills in many facets of multimedia, including video graphic, photographic and studio production.   In addition to his expertise in Multimedia technology, Scott has competences in writing, public speaking, and music composition.  He uses all of his multifaceted professional and technical skills to produce high quality media projects.   Because of his reputation and reliability, he has been assigned to highly sensitive multimedia assignments. His professional photographic and media accomplishments are extensive and include exclusive coverage of the late Mrs. Coretta Scott King’s funeral, First Lady Michele Obama’s visit to APS, and countless events that have relied on his expertise.

Scott has produced outstanding television programming for the APS office of Fine and Visual Arts including broadcasts of the Annual Winter Holiday Concert and the Annual Spring Concert. In addition he has provided video footage for performing arts grants to sustain performing groups such as the Urban Youth Harp Ensemble.   He continually provides internet presentations which are widely published and viewed through multiple district vehicles.

Mr. King has expertise in composition with over twenty seven years of musical studies, i.e. guitar performance, audio engineering and recording. He has written over fifty original compositions and lyrics to support his presentation works.  His musical talents have been heard by the Bill Gates Foundation, The Education Council at Harvard University and APS stakeholders at large.

Scott’s work history demonstrates a clear ability to turn complex situations into simple ones while working with diverse scenarios either in leadership or constituent roles.  He openly attributes the accomplishments and successes to his ability to maintain a positive attitude, a strong sense of professionalism, and an adherence to basic principles of team work, collaboration, high standards and integrity.

He holds a strong academic background with a Bachelor of Science in Pure Mathematics from Morehouse College (Atlanta) and a Master of Information Technology from American InterContinental University (Atlanta).  Before earning his Masters degree he studied performance at the acclaimed Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.

He has received numerous letters with commendations and compliments about his work from groups and individuals.  In addition he has been recognized in the Sciences and the Arts with his induction into the mathematics honor society of Pi Mu Epsilon, the Georgia School Public Relations Association with awards for his photographic work. Additionally he received special recognition from the APS JROTC and the Stone Mountain Lithonia Alumnae chapter of  Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for his on-going public service and support.

Currently, Scott is employed as the Media Production Manager in APS.  Prior to this role he was an Applications Technologist in Oracle Corporation and later as consultant and entrepreneur of multimedia. He spends his free time cycling, perfecting his production skills and mentoring students who wish to enter the field of digital media.
